Chicago Metro Chapter 2008 Leagues
Playing on a league is one of the best ways to network and get to know your fellow members. In 2008, we will be offering 20 different leagues. These leagues are geographically located all over the Chicago Metro area and are suitable for a wide range of golfing abilities (see Golfer Ability Levels).
Click on the Info button to view additional details or to register for a league. Please note that registration will be restricted the weekend of the Kick-off to the people who sign-up at the Kick-off. It may also be restricted once a league is close to capacity.
Members can pay by credit card through PayPal at the time of online sign-up or by sending a check to our Billing Coordinator. All payments must be for the full league amount and must be received three weeks prior to the first league play date.
Keep in mind that all league deposits are non-refundable. Also, no refunds for cancellations will be given once the league numbers have been guaranteed to the golf course. Please contact the respective site captain for more information.

Who Can Join a Chicago Metro Chapter League?
Only active members of EWGA are eligible to participate in the Chicago Metro Chapter leagues. If you are not yet an EWGA member or if you need to renew your membership, you will need to go to EWGA.com and complete the online membership signup before you can register for one of our leagues. If someone who is not an active EWGA member registers for a league, the Chicago Metro Chapter will not accept the registration and will return the funds less all services charges associated with the transaction.
How Can I Find a Substitute if I Need to Miss a League Outing?
You have two ways to find a substitute:
- Contact your site captain to see if she has a list of people who are interested in being a substitute for your league.
- Use the Sub or Golf Partner Message Board to get a message out to your chapter members that you need a substitute.
In either case, the substitute is responsible for reimbursing you for the cost of the date that she is playing for you (i.e., greens fee and cart rental if applicable). Your site captain can not reimburse you for any missed league outings.
Do I Need a Handicap to Play in a League?
You do not need a handicap to play in any of the Chicago Metro Chapter leagues. For more information on getting a handicap, see All About Handicaps.
