We are pleased to offer the following education opportunities during the 2010 season. Please register early for these opportunities, so that we can provide venues with an accurate count. Click on the Info button to view additional details or to register for the opportunity.
For more information on our education opportunities, please contact our Education Chair, Amy Lillibridge
Is there a mentoring program?
One of the benefits of being a member of EWGA is the opportunity for mentoring! For more information, see the EWGA Benefits.
If you are interested in being either a mentor or a mentee, please contact our Education Chair, Amy Lillibridge
Who Can Attend an Education Opportunity?
Any member of the Chicago Metro Chapter can attend our education opportunities. This is a benefit of being a member of the EWGA Chicago Metro Chapter. In most cases, non-members may not participate in our education opportunities. However, we may offer education opportunities open to both members and non-members.
For more information on education policies and procedures, see Chicago Metro Chapter Policies and Procedures for Education.
Can I Find a Substitute if I Can't Attend an Education Opportunity I Paid For?
Substitutes are allowed if you are unable to attend an education opportunity. Contact our Education Chair, Amy Lillibridge, or education coordinator to let them know that you have a substitute. The substitute is responsible for reimbursing you for the cost of the education opportunity.
Education opportunity payments are non-refundable unless the event does not fill and is cancelled by the chapter or the golf pro. In this case, refunds will be made in full. If there is a waitlist for an Education opportunity, a player who requests a cancellation will receive a full refund if someone on the waitlist fills their position. No refunds are available for absences.
Do I Need a Handicap?
It differs from event to event - so read the event description for the details. It is recommended that you keep a current handicap index in any case, as you may want to participate in those events requiring one. For more information on getting a handicap, see All About Handicaps.
